Galvanized by the recent election of President Donald Trump, US gun forum users are now invigorated with new hope to expanding their access to weapons. At the same time, Trump’s autocratic style arouses their perennial fears of governmental and institutional control. How will this group reconcile its love of firearms with its fear of authority? How does this tension color the perception of race, gender, and immigration? What is to become of America’s gun culture in the age of Trump?
