Kursen uppmärksammar etnografins rötter och kvinnliga pionjärer, sinnenas etnografi, autoetnografi, alternativa skrivgenrer, digitala fält och mötet med fältet och dess människor.

In a short period of time, ethnography has been etablished as a popular method in the humanities and social sciences, not least in gender studies. In this course, we will explore why. How can your dissertation be enriched by and contribute to current-day ethnography?

The course pays attention to the roots of ethnography and female pioneers, ethnography of the senses, autoethnography, alternative writing genres, digital fields and the encounters with the field and its people.
